Markus Linder learned to play the alphorn in his childhood from his father. In his youth he had his first performances. Throughout his musical studies he greatly improved his skills and performed on various stages with success.

Today he works with the alphorn in many ways

• Teaching (private lessons, courses, seminars and workshops)
• Concerts (as soloist with diverse accompaniment, in various groups)
• Development of design alphorns
• Research: On how the many parameters, e.g. surface finish, affect the sound.
